How do I enable the keyboard?

On iPhone, open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… and choose AI Translator Keyboard. On Android, open the app and follow the prompts to enable it in system keyboard settings. Then switch keyboards from any text field. In-app onboarding guides you through the platform-specific steps.

Why does AI Translator Keyboard ask for "Allow Full Access"?

“Allow Full Access” is an iPhone setting needed only so the keyboard can make network requests for cloud features. Android uses its normal network permission. On-device translation does not send text to our servers. AI Translator Keyboard does not log ordinary keystrokes or store translation text.

Which engine should I choose?

On-device — free, private and local: Apple’s on-device intelligence on supported iPhones or the downloaded Gemma model on Android.
Your own key — free, using your own API key from Gemini, Groq, Cerebras, OpenRouter, Z.AI or Mistral.
AI Translator Keyboard Pro — a subscription that translates through our server, with no key or setup.

What is AI Translator Keyboard Pro?

AI Translator Keyboard Pro is an optional subscription that lets you translate without your own API key — it just works. It's offered monthly or yearly. The on-device and your-own-key engines remain free.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open AI Translator Keyboard → Settings → Manage subscription. You can also use Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions on Android. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current period.

Translation isn't working — what should I check?

On iPhone, make sure Allow Full Access is ON for cloud features. On Android, check the internet connection and that the keyboard is enabled.
For the "your own key" engine, check that a valid API key is entered in Settings.
For the on-device engine, ensure the required Apple or Android model has finished downloading.
Check your internet connection for the cloud and subscription engines.

Is my data private?

Yes. Ordinary keystrokes and translation content are not used for analytics or advertising. On-device translation never leaves your device. With your own key, text goes directly to your chosen provider. With AI Translator Keyboard Pro, text passes through our server only to perform the translation and is not stored.
